DI tengah sebidang kebun manggis, seorang putri yang cantik jelita duduk termenung. Sorot matanya kosong, bibirnya terkatup rapat menandakan dia sedang bermuram durja. Tidak jauh dari tempat sang Putri duduk, melintaslah seorang lelaki paruh baya dengan karung di pundaknya. Lelaki itu tertegun sesaat manakala melihat sang Putri.
